TESTING AND BASIC CONSULTATION
Visit with one test $100
We offer basic soil testing and a simple consultation to asses the condition of your yard, including shrubs and trees as well as a visual check of your irrigation system. At this point we will give you some general cultural practices for the proper maintenance of warm season lawns.
We will take soil samples in multiple places around your yard and/or landscape beds. We will prepare the samples and send them off to a professional testing lab.
The cost of an initial visit including one location soil test is only $100. Each additional test is $50. In about 10 days we will email you a copy of the report with recommendations.
At that point you can choose to make the recommended corrections yourself or employ us to do the services.

Feed Your Lawn and Landscape
Southern lawns thrive in our heat if you use good cultural practices. Those include adequate water, sunlight, mowing and nutrients. Box Store fertilizers are not always the best ones to use. After a lab test of your soil we can advise you on a good fertilization program. You can do it yourself or we can do it for you.
Feed Your Lawn Soil
According to the top lawn care experts, the single best thing you can do to your lawn is top-dress it with a great quality compost material. We recommend a 1/4" top-dress of 80% sand/20% compost the first three years of a new lawn. The composting, especially after aeration will allow you to open up the gumbo barrier on the top of your lawn and replace it with materials that will feed the microbes and allow for better penetration of water, air and nutrients to reach your root system.
